Article: Educational Facilities forShemales (Transgender)
By: Faiza Masood-2K13/MC/36

Transgender are those people who adopts a gender role that is neither male nor female. They simply termed as “hijra” in society. In Pakistan there is a history of “hijra culture”. They traditionally did blessings/curses/begging and hooking to survive. Shemales life is something normally people don’t talk about, we as Pakistani have a profound lack of empathy for individuals who suffer from a gender identity disorder. It is need to be realize that this is not merely a war that these individuals have to fight for themselves; they are human beings just like others, and deserve as much of a right to education and job openings as like other human beings.

There are an estimated 500,000 third gender citizens in Pakistan.  Many hijras live in well-defined organize all hijra communities, led by a guru. Transgender are helpless and the only source of earning a livelihood is prostitution or begging. The truth is that we don’t leave them with a choice, if we give them a form of social acceptance and the entitlement to a good education and work, they could turn out to be productive members of our society.

Educationis not only necessary for male and female but also for transgender. In Pakistan, there is no place for transgender in educational institutions and job sector. Therefore more than 90% of transgender are uneducated and they are unable to read and write.Such individuals are not even seen as waiters at restaurants or workers in construction industries, due to their ambiguous genitalia. Basicnecessities such as educational institutes, job opportunities are not provided to them.
We see many organizations working for the underprivileged. Unfortunately, we don’t see the word underprivileged being associated with the lives of transgender. They face work place discrimination. The biggest problem with transgender is that they don’t get education and People don’t offer them jobs at home because they are considered hateful so, they end up doing illegal activities to fulfill their monetary requirements.

Why they don’t get education like normal men and women in Pakistan? The problem is that the society is so crippled in Pakistan. Transgender have been in existence since centuries, not every transgender over the past 1000 years has been subject to ridicule. But now illiteracy rates among Trans Pakistanis are reportedly high. There are no special schools for transgender in Pakistan. But some organizations like Human Hope for Health and Education (3HE) is working with she-male association for fundamentals rights (SAFFAR). Their aim is to provide basic education to she-male to make them literate. The (3HE) support SAFFAR in providing basic education to she-males.
Sarah Gill, who is the resident of Karachi is the first transgender who become a medical doctor in Pakistan’s history. She is also running an NGO, Gender Interactive Alliance (GIA).

I think government should take therequired steps to give these citizens of Pakistan, equalrights. Make separate schools and colleges for transgender, where they can get proper education and learn skills that can be used as a source of income and dignity for them. With that, there should be chapter on transgender in the syllabus of elementary schools that teaches the children of tomorrow the value of tolerance, give them a sense of acceptabilityand respect for transgender. They must be enrolled in the same schools, colleges and universities where normal people study because onlythen they are so called normal people going to accept them as a part of society and transgender will also be able to grow in a normal environment right from the beginning.

It is too long (1000 plus words)  make it around 550 to 600 words
Transgender are those people who adopts a gender role that is neither male nor female. They simply termed as hijra in society. In Pakistan there is a history of hijra culture. They traditionally did blessings/curses/begging and hooking to survive. Shemales life is something normally people don’t talk about, we as Pakistani have a profound lack of empathy for individuals who suffer from a gender identity disorder. Such individuals are often abandoned by their relatives and families at a very early age. Just because these individuals fail to conform to the stereotypical norms of our culture, we have reduced them down to such a level, where only two occupations accessible to them are begging and prostitution. It is need to be realize that this is not merely a war that these individuals have to fight for themselves; they are human beings just like others, and deserve as much of a right to education and job openings as like other human beings.
There are an estimated 500,000 third gender citizens in Pakistan .Transgender people mostly seen in markets that they behave badly when people refuse to give them money. Why do these people do this begging? Just because they are unemployed? Yes they have lack of education.
In Pakistan, many hijras live in well-defined organize all hijra communities, led by a guru. These communities have sustained themselves over generations by adopting young boys who are rejected by their family. Transgender are helpless and the only source of earning a livelihood is prostitution or begging.
The truth is that we don’t leave them with a choice, if we give them a form of social acceptance and the entitlement to a good education and work, they could turn out to be productive members of our society.
Education is a solution of each and every curse ina society. Educationis not only necessary for male and female but also for transgender.
In Pakistan, there is no place for transgender in educational institutions and job sector. Therefore more than 90% of transgender are uneducated and they are unable to read and write. Most people consider transgender to be a part of lower class society. Such individuals are not even seen as waiters at restaurants or workers in construction industries, due to their ambiguous genitalia. Basicnecessities such as educational institutes, job opportunities as well as medical facilities are not provided to them .on the basis of them being transgender or hijras.
These individuals have voices that are not heard by anyone. However, they are equal to every other human being they should have equal rights. They should get admissions to schools and colleges so they can play an important part in the progress of Pakistan.
We see many organizations working for the underprivileged. Unfortunately, we don’t see the word underprivileged being associated with the lives of transgender. They face work place discrimination. The biggest problem with transgender is that they don’t get education and People don’t offer them jobs at home because they are considered hateful and somewhat dirty to touch and they end up doing illegal activities to fulfill their monetary requirements.
Why they don’t get education like normal men and women in Pakistan? The biggest problem is that the society is so crippled in Pakistan that is very hard to survive for anyone who is slightly different from these crippled minded people.
Transgender have been in existence since centuries, not every transgender over the past 1000 years has been subject to ridicule. In 2012 , the Pakistani government recognized the transgender population and a three member benched of the supreme court , headed by former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry , ruled that the transgender community is entitled to rights in the constitution to all citizens including the rights of inheritance . SupremeCourt ordered that free education and free health care must be guaranteed to the community.
The 3HE support SAFFAR in providing basic education to she-males.
Bobby one of the principal figures in the fight for transgender rights in Pakistan, reminded that “education alone is not a solution, as illiterate and highly educated people are early capable of vile behavior. The need to change mindsets, rather than clamoring for jobs or better living standards, they are also creation of god, the brushstroke was just slightly different.”
Sarah gill who is the resident of Karachi is the first transgender to become a medical doctor in Pakistan’s history. She is also running an NGO by the name of gender interactive alliance (GIA).
I think government should take the required steps to give these citizens of Pakistan, regardless of their sexual orientation, equal rights. Make separate schools and colleges for transgender people where they can get proper education and learn skills, other than dancing, that can be used as a source of income and dignity for them. With that, there should be chapter on transgender in the syllabus of elementary schools that teaches the children of tomorrow the value of tolerance, give them a sense of acceptabilityand respect for the third gender.
They must be enrolled in the same schools, colleges and universities where we study because only then they are so called normal people going to accept them as a part of the society and the transgender will also be able to grow in a normal environment right from the beginning. The teacher should describe their rights in class.

Education changes a lot of things. They can get jobs also in, they choose their field like fashion designing and do their business like open a salon or boutique. In fact we shouldn’t underestimate the transgender as they are also a creature of god as other human beings, they also have equal right to get education. So as a human being when we educate them we educate a Pakistani who will definitely make proud Pakistan in future.

Autobahn road Hyderabad Sindh Revised

Revised

Feature: Autobahn road Hyderabad Sindh

By: Faiza Masood-2K13/MC/36

Autobahn road the express way is the beauty of  Hyderabad Sindh.
This expressway is next to Sindh Forest Department and is located in Sindh, Pakistan. Autobahn road has a length of 2.29 kilometers , autobahn expressway starts from Gidu chowk and it ends at Fauji chowk near fauji statue and it splittet in separate ways.
The first Autobahn road (auto route) of the planet was constructed in 1924 in Italy . It was 85 kilometers long between milan verese but when we come to the history of Autobahn road of hyderabad, one retired engineer fuji of England design that express way &  it has platted through Columbo plan .
This road served industry when there was boom of textile industry as Hyderabad has dozens of textile industries in sixties and early seventies.
The organization of Asia Pacific and its countries whose headquarter was in Columbo ,they wove Autobahn road in early 50’s because they wanted to changed the express way into Capital.
So they gave idea that Capital of Sindh should be changed and Federative Capital inhabited in Karachi Pakistan . So, they did survey on three sites , that are North Nazimabad Karachi , Latifabad Hyderabad & Run Patani (Railway station)
They first choose Run Patani but they skipped  that place because of some issues they had to drop Run Patani, Then they made decision that if they have taken Federative Coterie in Islamabad but they dropped that decision too due to some issues so that the decision was underact .
But the planning of Latifabad has been made through master plan of Latifabad Hyderabad. In which Autobahn road had to worked definitively as a express way in Latifabad Hyderabad . So, in that matter it has been established.
Inspite of this Zeal Pak factory also established due to Autobahn road by the help of Newzealand because Newzealand was also a great member of Columbo plan .
Reason of establishment of Autobahn road is when foreigners come and go they will not have any interaction from city.
Now  Hyderabad is developing rapidly like another big city in Pakistan & Autobahn road is turning into Tariq road of karachi. The Brand outlets like Khaddi , Ideas, Hush Puppies, Ego, Stylo, Junaid Jamshed (J.J) and international food chains like Subway , Mc donald, Lfc , Pizza Pipper and local restaurants all can be found on this road
The development is a good sign for the locals that some investment is flowing in the city which will bring more employment opportunities.
Driving at nights in late hours on Autobahn road gave sense that people in Hyderabad area are in less stress as compared to the people of Karachi.
Traffic can be seen on Autobahn road till midnight and people sit out late on Ice cream spots .
The Autobahn road have Bar B Q Tonight and Royal Taj hotel and many more. It is also famous for the extremely tasty fried fish. People from different cities come at branded shops on autobahn road . There are many schools and colleges on Autobahn road like Beaconhouse school system , Foundation public school, Kins college, Pace college etc
Infact it is the most attractive street of Hyderabad having all the international food chains ,brands ,school and many more. . inshort it’s a Heart of Hyderabad .
