As simple as it sounds, we all must try to be the best person we can, by making the best choices, by making the most of the talents we've been given. But some of us could take it simple as it sounds that their names will remain forever in the heart of the people.
Shabnum Gul is one of them, an extra-ordinary lady; wise as well as beautiful, she is a writer, comparer and multitalented who did her all works with keen interest and dedication. She was born on 5 September 1963, in Dadud istrict. She is first girl from her family who graduated from University of Sindh and did her masters in English, later also in Political Science. She was appointed as lecturer of English from college side in 1990. She got married with civil engineer Ishtiaq Ansari In 1985.
The author of many books, both of poetry and short stories she also wrote for many newspapers also had work in the editorial board of many magazines. In 1986 she joined Radio Pakistan as a comparer. She wrote many dramas and features in Urdu, Sindhi. Also rose as a playwright in 1989 in the literary scene and the same year she wrote her first short story. She also was comparer of Sindhi programs of Shah Abdul Latif named as Sur-Latif. Her drama “Hum Larkiyan” broadcast on Hum T.V in 2002 is considered a hit play.
Her first collection of poetry, “Akhri Lafz” (The Last Word), was published in 1993, “Unjantal Shehr Jo Naqsho” (The Map of an Unknown City), a collection of short stories, came out in 1995 and “Muhnjo Sooraj Mukhi” (My Sunflower), a memoir, is her latest book. However, “Lehran Jo Geet”(The Song of Waves), a collection of radio plays, “Tanha Pal” (Solitary Moments), another book of short stories and a comparative study of western poets and Shah Bhittai are under publication. She also writes novels her upcoming novel is on para-psychology.
Shabnum is author of many social, political, para-psychological issues and has also written poetry in English and Sindh. If all her writing works are collected it will be 20 to 30 books appear

She believes that we still clench in enslavement of British because we’re not going towards the libraries for buying books to finding or exploring our thoughts even we leave the books like it doesn’t matter in ourlife. Instead ofwe should value the books because books made scientist,engineer,doctor, teacher and google not these all made books,Read the books and just wait and watch that how its takes you towards the peak of success!!
